Join the beta
We are recruiting for a closed Android beta. We will start with a group in one city, so there are real traces to discover nearby. Leave your Google Play email and city. We will invite selected people; signing up does not guarantee a place or grant access. Ages 16+, with parent/guardian permission for ages 16–17.
1. Prepare your phone
You need a phone with Android 8 or later, a 64-bit processor and ARCore support. The Android number alone does not guarantee compatibility. Check Google device list i update Google Play Services for AR.
Install the application from the link received from the organizer. Allow camera and precise location when using the app. The camera recognizes the surroundings and the location helps select nearby tracks. Sharing your work requires the internet.
2. Link profile
- Open Settings, enter your profile name and the beta access code you received.
- Leave the default server address. Select Connect profile.
- Read regulations i privacy policy before publishing.
- Enter in Secure/Recover Account → Create Recovery Code. Save the code in a safe place away from your phone. Do not send it to other people.
The Dropsee profile is separate from your Google account. Simply installing the application on the second phone does not restore the profile.
3. Choose a space
On the home screen, select Global or private space. In Settings you can create it, attach it with a code or use a button Invite to the selected space. People viewing joint works must choose the same space. The beta code and the private space code are two different codes.
4. Leave the first trace
- Stop somewhere safe. Slowly show your phone the surface from several angles. Good light and clear details help you recognize a place.
- Select Note, Spray or Carving. Write a message, paint or set up a model.
- Check the location and wait for save confirmation. Just seeing your work on camera doesn't mean it's been uploaded to the server.
- On the other phone, select the same space and Open camera · explore. Slowly show the same surroundings.
Your studio
In the Sculpture category, select Create your own sculpture. Add or cut blocks, change brush size and colors. Two-finger dragging rotates the view; spreading your fingers apart changes the zoom. The saved model will appear in your library.
You can also choose Import GLB/OBJ model. Use lightweight models that you own the rights to. The importer supports a limited range of these formats: not every material, animation or external texture will be reproduced. Keep original files outside the application.
Limits and lifetime of jobs

Extend a work from your phone
In beta, choose My traces → select a work → Extend validity. This is free during beta and does not use your publication quota. Once Google confirms the renewal, the work remains active for up to 7 days from now, within the limits of its AR anchor. You do not need to return to the location; an internet connection is required.
Repeated taps do not add extra weeks. An expired work or anchor cannot be restored this way. If Google no longer allows the anchor to be extended, visit the location and create a new work. Wait for confirmation of the new expiry date.
Safely in the field
Test walls, ground and other stationary surfaces. Don't paint cars or people. Do not enter other people's property, do not block crossings and do not use the application while driving. When working at Global, remember that your location may be known to other people.
